Hot, humid days have given way to brisk, breezy mornings, and there couldn’t be a better place to experience fall in all its glory than Butler County, PA! The calendar is packed with festivals, farmer’s markets, and food trucks scattered throughout the county all season long. No matter which weekend it is, or which town you visit, there’s something fun for everyone in the family. Here are our favorite events happening this fall in Butler County!
Cranberry Township Farmers Market
Fridays from June 4 – October 1 | 3-7 p.m.
Support local vendors and farmers while enjoying food trucks and live music.
Saturday, October 2 | 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Fun for the whole family, this event features a variety of arts and crafts, food vendors, live entertainment, games, and of course… plenty of apples!
Portersville Steam Show Fall Fling
October 2-3 | 9 a.m.-8 p.m.
This fall festival has all the apples and apple treats a kid could ask for — ice cream and apple dumplings, apple cider, apple butter, apple treats, plus Amish doughnuts, popcorn, breakfast and sandwiches.
Friday, October 8 | 4:30-8 p.m.
Come out to Mars Borough to enjoy creative cuisines, vendors, and entertainment.
Saturday, October 9 | 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
This country fall festival in Harmony, PA features costumes, pumpkins, kids activities, and more.
Monday, October 18 | 5-8 p.m.
Hosted by the Pittsburgh North Regional Chamber, this fall event features unlimited samples from your favorite regional restaurants, entertainment, and prizes.
Zelienople-Harmony Farmer’s Market
Mondays through October | 3:30-7 p.m.
Enjoy the freshest local fall produce and handmade arts and crafts.
Thursdays through October 7 | 5-9 p.m.
“Open Air Zelie” showcases the best of this historic town with unique shops, eclectic dining, live music, and a fun family atmosphere.
Pumpkin Festival at Cheeseman Farm
Weekends in October 30 | 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
Come pick your fill of pumpkins and enjoy all the things that make fall so special. There will be hay rides, a petting zoo, hay jump, concessions, pumpkins and gourds, Indiana corn, corn stalks, hay bales and more.
Weekends in October 30 | 3-4:30 p.m.
See the changing leaves on Lake Arthur at Moraine State Park with a 90-minute sightseeing cruise. Learn about the area’s geological history and view wildlife such as Bald Eagles and white-tailed deer.

While perfectly scary for those who like a thrill, this haunted house also offers “No Scare Family Days” on October 3 & 10.
