Featured Employee: Meet Jamie!
At Infinity Custom Homes, we’ve always felt more like a family than just a team, which makes building family homes together so much sweeter. This week, we’re especially excited to introduce you to the very first member of our Infinity family, Jamie Dami! Hardworking and compassionate, Jamie has exemplified our commitment to excellence and customer care since the very beginning. We’ve loved getting to work with and know Jamie all these years, and we can’t wait for you to get to know her a little bit too!
What’s your relationship with Infinity Custom Homes? What do you love most about working here?
I was the very first Infinity employee! I started working with Scott in June 2013 at his home office in Upper St. Clair. I pretty much did anything that was needed when it came to creating sales documents, keeping spreadsheets, applying for building permits, and filing paperwork.
As we moved from model home to model home, I finally settled into the role of finance administrator. Today, I work closely with the controller and production team to process all of the payables each week. Working with the Infinity team is great because we are basically one big family. We all have our set roles, but no team member is too good to help someone else out when needed. We all work really well together.
Where did you grow up? Tell us about your family!
I have lived in Pennsylvania all my life. I was born in Philadelphia, moved to Scranton when I was 6 weeks old, and then moved to Pittsburgh when I was 9. Currently, I live in the Washington area with my husband, Tony, and two daughters, Melanie (12) and Claire (9). We have a cat named Lucy and a red Labrador named Buddy.
How do you spend your free time? What do you do to relax?
I like to spend time with friends and family. Whether it is shopping, volunteering at a fire department fundraiser, or just hanging out drinking wine, I always enjoy quality time with good people.
What do you wish other people knew about Infinity Custom Homes?
We are more than just another home builder. We are truly a great big family. From the employees to the subcontractors, we all work together in the best way possible to make customers’ dreams come to life.
What would someone be surprised to know about you?
I love to go camping! We have a travel trailer and enjoy spending the weekends at a campground. We mostly camp on our friend’s property, which is only about 25 minutes from home, but we try to take a handful of trips each summer too. Our favorite camping spot so far is Hershey Park!
What is your favorite place you’ve traveled to?
I have been to France, Germany, Switzerland, and Punta Cana, as well as Las Vegas, the Outer Banks, and various beaches in the US, but my all-time favorite vacation spot is Disney World. It was always fun and magical as a child, but it is even better now taking my own daughters there and seeing the magic through their eyes. My heart burst with joy the first time they saw Cinderella’s castle!
