[Event Recap] Light the Night Walk

[Event Recap] Light the Night Walk

At the beginning of October, the Infinity family got together to participate in the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night Walk at Heinz Field. We walked in honor of one of our family members who was recently diagnosed with a type of Lymphoma. As you may have read in our previous post about our Carnival Fundraiser, all the money that we received from donors and were able to collect from the event went straight into our fundraising goal for the Light the Night Walk. We were given a corporate tent, some refreshments and of course lanterns (pictured below) for each member of our team to hold while we brought light to the darkness of cancer. It was so moving to see the different colored lanterns in the crowd–white for survivors, red for supporters, and yellow for those we’ve lost. We heard inspiring stories about people from all walks of life who battle daily with such a challenging circumstance. It was an awesome surprise to hear during the opening ceremony that Infinity as a company was the third highest-fundraising corporate donor, following UPMC and People’s Gas. It was truly an honor to be there together to show our support, and we can’t wait to see how we can shine our light in the future!
